Privacy Policy

Summary

MailOTP Temp Mail is a receive-only, temporary email service. We do not ask for your name, your real email address or any account. Temporary inboxes and the emails in them are deleted automatically when they expire.

What we store

• Emails sent to a temporary address, including attachments, until that address expires (30 minutes by default, at most 24 hours from the last extension). After that they are deleted permanently.
• An access key for each inbox. Your browser keeps the address and its key in local storage so you can come back to it. On our side only a one-way hash of the key is stored.
• Aggregate statistics, such as the number of emails received per hour and per sender domain. These do not contain email content and are kept for up to 30 days.

IP addresses

Your IP address is used briefly to limit how many inboxes can be created per minute, which protects the service from abuse. We do not keep it alongside your inbox.

Infrastructure

The service runs on Cloudflare. Cloudflare processes requests and email on our behalf and may keep standard technical logs under its own privacy policy.

Advertising and cookies

The service itself does not use tracking cookies. If advertising is shown on this site, third-party vendors, including Google, may use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on those visits. You can opt out of personalized advertising in Google Ads Settings or at aboutads.info.

Your choices

You can delete an inbox and all of its emails at any time with the Delete button. Clearing your browser's site data removes the saved addresses from your device.

Do not use for sensitive accounts

Anyone who has an inbox's access key can read it. Do not use temporary addresses for banking, health, work or any account you need to keep.
